2025 Annual Impact Report
A message from Angela Fidler, Executive Director at Spokane HOPE
As we enter the holiday season, I find myself reflecting on this past fiscal year with deep gratitude. What an incredible year it has been, full of momentum, growth, connection, and most of all, HOPE. Every day, I am reminded of how fortunate we are to serve such extraordinary families and to be supported by a community that truly believes in the potential of children who are deaf and hard of hearing to listen and talk.
As I complete my first year as Executive Director, I can say without hesitation that Spokane HOPE is far more than an early intervention center. It is a family, a place where parents find encouragement, where children discover their voices, and where every milestone is celebrated by a team that cares deeply and passionately. I am humbled every day by our exceptional staff and by the generous donors who allow this important work to continue.
This year started with a bang! Our annual Hoedown for HOPE fundraiser was not only a wonderful night of fun and community, but also a tremendous success. Together, we raised over $320,000. Your support made that possible, and we cannot thank you enough.
As we moved into the new school year, our classrooms filled with joy as children settled into their routines. Our toddler groups have been bustling with little learners and have provided a beautiful space for parents to connect and support one another. We also hosted our first Family Night of the year, featuring an inspiring panel of young adults and children who are deaf and hard of hearing. Hearing them share their experiences openly, honestly, and with so much confidence was a powerful reminder of why early intervention matters.
We have also continued to improve our space to serve families better. From the fresh coat of exterior paint to the bright, colorful murals that now greet our children each morning, our building feels more welcoming and vibrant than ever. There is always a lot happening at Spokane HOPE, and it is all done with one goal in mind: helping DHH children thrive.
As we look ahead to 2026, I am filled with excitement for what is to come, including expanded opportunities, growing programs, stronger partnerships, and continued dedication to serving every child and family who walks through our doors.
As you enter the holidays, I hope your home is filled with peace, joy, and meaningful moments with those you love. Thank you for being such an important part of our Spokane HOPE family. We could not do this without you!
