Denise Bartley, MS

DHH Specialist

Denise earned a Bachelor’s degree in Consumer Sciences from Central Washington University before following her passion for education and completing a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. She spent several years teaching oral and written English language acquisition to multilingual students in Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grade within the Nine Mile Falls School District and is a certified English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor.

Most recently, Denise worked in Early Childhood Education with trauma-impacted and special education preschool students, helping them develop the social, emotional, and academic skills needed for lifelong success.

Denise completed specialized training through the University of North Carolina Listening and Spoken Language Program and plans to pursue her Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) Certification with Spokane HOPE while continuing to work with DHH children. 

Denise is passionate about creating a positive, supportive learning environment where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of success. She is excited to share her love of learning with the preschool students and families of Spokane HOPE.
